Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer
Greetings from Seminyak, Bali.
Another working hard on our online businesses. The weather is rather overcast again today - pretty standard really as it is the rainy season. It is around 31 degrees today with 80% humidity. Still way cooler than Melbourne - who would have thought it?
So Peter and I are off to bowling this afternoon at Kuta Paradiso Bowling & Billiard Center. Peter is looking forward to beating me again! Will tell you the scores tomorrow! Peter is going for 150+ today - that was his highest score last time - he aims to improve.
Peter keeps on at me to blog about the earthquake tremor we had last week - I keep forgetting. Don't worry mum it was a small tremor only - details were 4.9 mag earthquake strikes South of Bali, 175 km (110 miles) SW of Mataram, Lombok, Indonesia on 20 January 2009. I was working on my computer in the bedroom and my chair started shaking and I thought Peter had crept up behind me and was shaking the chair but it was only an earthquake - thank goodness! It reminds me of the first time we came to Bali and were shopping at Matahari in Denpasar and were about 3 floors up I think - a fairly big tremor hit and all the shoes and stuff started falling off the shelves and things were shaking quite badly - all the staff made a run for it and all the tourists just casually looked around and then went on with their shopping - it was quite funny! So will keep you posted of any more tremors!
So chick talk for a moment - but it is totally weird over here - I have not worn makeup for weeks and I just decided to put on some lip gloss to go bowling - don't ask me why. And it felt totally odd - my skin must be wondering what the heck is going on - as I was rather a makeup fanatic back in Melbourne and I would never ever even think of going to the corner store without at least foundation, eyeliner and a bit of mascara on - now I go for weeks without ANY makeup whatsoever - so I guess that is another plus on the side of island living! Although I have not really put up any holiday piccies yet - so when I do you may all comment back quickly that I SHOULD QUICKLY PUT THAT MAKEUP BACK ON!!! Ha ha ha.
So I know I am not acting my age but I finished the third book in the Twilight series - Eclipse last night - took me four hours to finish it so was up until after midnight - so took me only 2 days to read it - I promised I would only read one chapter a night to make it last but couldn't do it - I hate to admit but I am a sucker for a vampire story and I gotta say she knows how to make a page turner with these books - so waiting to buy the next one - Breaking Dawn!!
So I am leaving you today with a photo from the 21st December last year - seems so long ago - of the view from our hotel room in Singapore - the Carlton.
So don't forget you can make comments to my enlightening blog posts!
Stay safe and ciao for now!
