Paradiso Bowling & Billiard Center

Greetings from Seminyak, Bali.

Can you believe it is already February - WOW - time flies so much when you are chilling out on a tropical island!

Had a fabulous day yesterday - although it was rather rainy - but got lots of work done and then we decided to go bowling as I mentioned in my blog yesterday at Paradiso Bowling & Billiard Center.

As you can see we were the only bowlers there - our own private bowling experience!

So as usual I won the first game - scores below:

This was a good score for me - I was bowling with way more restraint than usual - I have a tendency to really throw the ball sometimes and it gets way down the lane before landing - not a good technique for knocking pins down at all.

Okay a shot of me with my purple bowling ball getting ready to bowl:

A great shot of my truly awesome looking bowling attire:

Here is one of Peter just about to bowl a strike - he improves each and every game - so it takes him one game to get his mojo back then he beats me each game after that.

Okay here are the scores for our second game - I made a good comeback on this game with 4 spares in a row but then lost it on the last frame.

Okay don't know what happened on the last game - I totally sucked and Peter did his best game so far with a whopping score of 180.

Okay so we left it at 3 games and then decided to go out to dinner. So we hailed a taxi and headed on down to Jalan Laksmana. We dropped into the Bush Telegraph bar for a couple of drinks first - this is an Aussie pub with a giant croc - not real of course - in the main bar area - quite funny really - will have to get photos later as we forgot to recharge the camera and couldn't take any more piccies.

After I had a couple of Hatten Wines Rose and Peter his usual Bintangs, we went next door to Gateway of India - this is truly an awesome restaurant which a huge array of vegetarian dishes. It is not much to look at but the food more than makes up for a lack of atmosphere. We had a main dish with black lentils and the Vegetarian Curry - they were fantastic - great tasting and presented really well. Their pashiwiri naan was also excellent as was their mushroom biryani. No piccies unfortunately but will definitely be going back there again ready to take some piccies of their fabulous food. Recommend highly for vegetarians and non-vegetarians who like Indian food.

Anyway enough natter for me today - we are off to the local Thai restaurant around the corner for a late lunch - we have not been there this visit and are looking forward to seeing if the food is still as good as we remember.

Stay safe and have a fantastically awesome day!
