Bangles, Bangles & More Bangles

Greetings from Seminyak, Bali

Today was around 27 degrees with the occasional light rain - quite nice really.

Our dollar is hovering around 7,902 rupiah - so not bad at all.

We go to Bintang Supermarket quite regularly and there is this jewellery shop across the road that I have been simply dieing to check out. As some of you may know I am something of a shopaholic - although I must admit I have been super good over here - no room to shop til I drop at the moment! What a tragedy.

But anyway I digress. The shop in question is called Papiya - and it is right across the road from the Bintang Supermarket at Seminyak. Cannot miss it! The do retail and wholesale.

It specialises in wooden bangles and I do love bangles - although I must admit at the moment I have a fondness for my charm bracelet I got for xmas from my nieces - it is the Harajuku Girls charm bracelet - LUV IT! It came free with the Harajuku Lovers perfume - and it features G, Love, Lil' Angel, Music and Baby.

Anyway I digress again. This is the front of the store and you can see it has some fantastic wooden bangles - and so so many of them!

So I am just going to show you some more wooden bangles - oh and a dreadful photo of me browsing - with my ever present backpack and my trusty black crocs! Z - you will recognise the dress I bought in Eilat in Israel last year! I am not really a dress person - so never thought I would wear it again but of course it is perfect for Bali weather.

    Thanks for the awesome blog dedication! You know I love those amazing bangles! But I think the ones we made in our resin class were better....even if they are still unfinished works of ART!

Greetings from Seminyak, Bali. Can you believe it is already February - WOW - time flies so much when you are chilling out on a tropical island! Had a fabulous day yesterday - although it was rather rainy - but got lots of work done and then we decided to go bowling as I mentioned in my blog yesterday at Paradiso Bowling & Billiard Center . To Hell in High Heels

Greetings from Seminyak, Bali. It is very overcast today, a bit like yesterday. It did rain a little last night but as we expected - it was very very dark clouds and lightening but no real rain. Today is supposed to reach a top of 29degrees with 91% humidity. Yesterday was another slow day just working on our online businesses - things are going well - learning lots of new things and starting to implement these to get up and running. It is great to have the freedom to spend all day researching and creating - without a normal 9 to 5 job getting in the way! Have been reading this book To Hell in High Heels by Helen Firth Powell and just finished it last night. It is quite funny - the tag line of the book is How To Age Gracefully, Disgracefully - Or Not At All! It is basically about her travels over a year to find out the best anti-ageing methods around the world - so you can see why I would be reading it - at age 45 it would be nice to age gracefully but I think I will go for the disgra...

Greetings from Seminyak, Bali. Another working hard on our online businesses. The weather is rather overcast again today - pretty standard really as it is the rainy season. It is around 31 degrees today with 80% humidity. Still way cooler than Melbourne - who would have thought it? So Peter and I are off to bowling this afternoon at Kuta Paradiso Bowling & Billiard Center . Peter is looking forward to beating me again! Will tell you the scores tomorrow!
