Greetings from Seminyak, Bali. Well another slightly cloudy day and the temperature is around 27 degrees with 87% humidity. Our dollar is around 7,698 rupiah. So I have just discovered True Blood - this truly awesome TV series is based on the Sookie Stackhouse book series (or also known as The Southern Vampire Mysteries ) by Charlaine Harris . Peter and I started watching Episode 1 last night and he got bored with it and went to bed but I ended up staying up until 6am - but only got to Episode 8!!! Still got four more episodes of the first season to go! Cannot wait. Before I get into the show - you have to listen to the opening credits song - it is fantastic. We just came back from lunch and it feels really quite hot - went for a bit of a walk and after half an hour - felt really really hot! So things are heating up over here! Well the weather was a bit cloudy and way hot today - temperature was only around 28 degrees but around 79% humidity - it is starting to really feel hot when you go out! Our dollar is hovering around 7,777 rupiah - so still quite good. Well today I am going to share my photos of shopping for a novel to read. We went to breakfast at Lanai Beach Bar and Grille the other morning and it was great - blogging later on this one. But have noticed it before - hard not to - but this guy sells used books on his motorbikes just out front of the restaurants. I LOVE IT! How cool is that. Here is another shot and it shows a really good view of all the motorbikes lined up along the road here with the book stand (?) in prominent position. Here I am browsing - don't I look serious? Okay saw this walking back from Lemongrass the other night - I know this is not quirky but it is TOTALLY AWESOME! It is solid silver and deserves another piccie - so here it is up close! It is from Mario Silver - and they make all kinds of fabulous silver jewellery - but honestly this is the best thing I have ever seen! Okay, another shop we walked past the other night was this light shop - I know it is not strictly quirky but it sure is purty!!! Here is another shop that I just loved - the lights change colours - here it is in blue. Greetings from Seminyak, Bali Okay today weather is lovely but a bit overcast - it is around 29 degrees and 73% humidity - so feels quite hot today. Our dollar is hovering around 7,807 today - so pretty high. For those that know me, you know that I have a thing for 3D animation and renders - so I try to spend an hour or so every day just playing around with Poser 7 and getting used to it - I have had the software for a while but have not really had the time until now to dedicate a couple of hours a week to it. I find it helps me to disassociate myself from my other endeavours and get creative (or at least I hope I am being creative!). So I finally got up the courage to upload one of my images to one of the software sites I sometimes purchase off of and most often than not download freebie stuff! Greetings from Seminyak, Bali Today is a simply gorgeous day outside (a bit too bright on the tired eyes I must say) and 27 degrees and 77% humidity. Our dollar is hovering around 7,698 rupiahs and life is good. Well as you can see from my title today I am a wee bit hungover. Yesterday (okay the day before yesterday actually - started this then had to take a nap - ha ha) Peter and I celebrated 9 YEARS together - who would have thunk it! So of course we went out for a nice dinner together and had too much vino and vodka! We both got dressed up and decided to go to Lemongrass at Jln. Raya Seminyak 37, Seminyak. It is a Thai restaurant and quite nice inside. We have been here a couple of times before but not for a few years. So here is a piccie of the inside of the restaurant - forgot to take one of outside - sorry! As I said we both got a little dressed up - and I even WORE MAKEUP - OMG! And Peter got all spruced up as well - with a collared shirt and all! He looks very handsome I think....

Greetings from Seminyak, Bali. Sorry haven't blogged for a few days - been busy on work stuff. The weather is kind of overcast with 75% humidity and a temperature around 31 degrees. But it feels much hotter - quite warm today. Our dollar is hovering around 7,628 rupiahs. Well since my last blog we have returned from Johor Bahru. We did not end up seeing much as Peter (my other half) had a bit of JB Belly - so I basically worked on my internet stuff while he rested. So here is a view outside our hotel (Puteri Pacific Hotel) window - we had a great view - it looks over the Straits of Johor. We were only five minutes drive to the causeway that links to Singapore. So here is the view looking to the right outside our window - this is a truly awesome looking building. It is the State Secretariat Building (Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim) and was built in 1940 (although to me it looks much older!).
